If it seems like America’s big banks still aren’t playing by the rules, that’s probably because they aren’t. Their thinking is that because they are too big to fail, and too influential in Washington, they can just get Washington to change the rules as they go along and bail them out whenever needed. And sadly that’s what is happening in America today. Banks keep breaking the rules; Washington pretends not to notice, while the middle class is being forced to pick up the tab for the whole mess.
