Oil drilling and oil company profits have both hit all-time highs in America today. At the same time, gas prices are climbing back up to their highest levels in American history. The oil industry is still getting $4 billion a year from the federal government just in subsidies, with billions more awarded through tax breaks. And even though the Republicans deserve credit for all of these issues, Party leadership has decided to use the rise in gas prices to attack President Obama for not allowing the oil industry to drill for oil on every square foot of American soil.
