A federal judge recently granted a subpoena that allows Chevron to gain access to a decade’s worth of metadata from various parties that had previously filed suit against them. This could mean that from this point forward, anyone who chooses to go up against the oil giant could fall victim to NSA-like behavior by Chevron.
