This weekend, an estimated 100,000-200,000 protesters took to the streets all across the globe. They came together to protest the pillaging of our planet and the expansion of big oil, like the Keystone pipeline, in what was called the People’s Climate March. Instead, the focus seems to have been more on whether Roger Goodell will finally grow a backbone.
Conservative media, in particular, was silent on the subject. A number a big-name celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Emma Thompson and others joined the effort. It’s clear that the media has a slant and a reason for ignoring the protest.
The next time a handful of Tea Party radicals get together and talk about shutting down the federal government, you’d better believe we’ll see the standard swarm of cameras and buzz covering every possible angle of that story.
