Climate change denial has to end. Deniers and naysayers are only serving to impede the progress that is so desperately needed to turn the tide against a bleaker tomorrow. Current projections postulate that by 2100, nearly half of all species will be extinct.

In anticipation of the U.N. Climate Summit, last Saturday night, a light show was displayed on the side of the United Nations building in order to raise awareness of the damage being done by mankind to the species inhabiting this planet and the loss of half of the species on the planet. The show lasted 11 minutes and showcased photography endangered by the changing climate.

Many consider the impending extinction the worst since the dying of the dinosaurs some 65 million years ago. Such a loss makes it all the more clear that there is no time to maintain relationships with such dangerous groups as ALEC or the Koch brothers.

“Now is the time to take decisive action on climate change. Protecting our planet is the responsibility of each and every one of us. We must make our voices heard,” said Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
