For some reason, there is a block between Republicans’ brains and consensually-agreed upon scientific findings. Ninety-seven percent of the climate scientists agree that climate change is happening and humans are majorly responsible. Despite continuous repetition of scientific findings supporting the existence of climate change, there remains a disconnect between the facts and conservative brains.
Myron Ebell of the Competitive Enterprise Enterprise, a libertarian think tank, said on Fox & Friends yesterday that “We do not have more heat waves, we are not having more big storms, we have not had any hurricanes this year, for example. I think this is a kind of fantasy world that they’re living in.”
A hurricane recently ravaged Baja California, leaving thousands of people without food, water, and electricity. And that’s just one example.
