Payday Lenders in Obama’s Crosshairs, Calls for Tougher Regulation

During a speech in Birmingham, Alabama, Barack Obama called for stricter regulations on payday loan lenders. As evidence that something is wrong with the current system, Obama pointed out that there are four times more payday lenders than there are McDonald’s in Alabama.

That’s a lot of payday lenders.
