Cheryl Rios is the CEO of Go Ape Marketing in north Texas and she thinks that a woman “shouldn’t be president.” She thinks this because women and men have “different hormones” and “biblical sound reasoning.”
“With the hormones we have, there is no way [a woman] should be able to start a war,” said Rios on Facebook. “Yes I run my own business and I love it and I am great at it BUT that is not the same thing as being the President, that should be left out to a man, a good, strong, honorable man.”
Other than thinking a woman’s biological structure is an automatic impediment to being president, she brings up the bible, because why not? If a conservative’s opinion is tremendously flimsy, they just hide behind the Bible. It’s easy and doesn’t require a lot of thought.
Rios stated that she supports equal rights. Apparently that’s only when the Bible doesn’t interfere with human rights.
“In this great country we are allowed our own opinions,” she tweeted. “Mine may be something you don’t agree with, and so be it. I am old fashioned, I am Christian and believe what I have said.”
She is correct that she can have whatever opinion she wants. This is America. But, that also means that if you say something idiotic then you have to deal with the backlash.
