Even with Fusion host Jorge Ramos clearly explaining why hispanic Americans won’t vote for a Republican candidate, Fox News host Sean Hannity still doesn’t understand.

The main issue that prevents hispanic Americans from voting for Republican candidates is immigration. Hannity thinks that just because Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio are hispanic that hispanic Americans are going to line up to vote for these men. That’s absolutely wrong, and it’s racist too.

Both Ramos and Hannity noted that neither Cruz nor Rubio are running as “hispanic candidates” and that Republicans connect with hispanics on issues of family values, hard work, and religion. However, the fly in the ointment for Republicans concerning the hispanic vote is immigration.

“Latinos cannot see beyond immigration right now,” said Ramos. “It’s a very simple concept, Sean – people won’t vote for a candidate who will deport your father, your friends, your colleagues, and your students.”

That is exactly what Republicans like Rubio and Cruz are determined to accomplish. Ramos noted that America is “an exceptional country, an immigrant country.” Hannity responded, “it’s not an illegal immigrant country.” That’s how most of America’s immigrants started out.

Hannity said he’s “not a believer” in demographics and identity politics. Despite this, Hannity still somehow thinks that hispanics will cast their vote for Rubio and Cruz simply because they too are hispanic.
