Increasingly, conservatives are looking for an enemy to fight in the upcoming 2016 presidential race. Whether it’s Obama, gay marriage, or some other illusive “they” conservatives have no shortage of villainous boogeymen to scare voters with. The latest candidate to share in the scare-wars is Mike Huckabee, claiming that soon Christianity will be illegal in the United States.
“We are moving rapidly toward the criminalization of Christianity,” said Huckabee during a conference call with other conservative pastors. The audio of which was obtained by Right Wing Watch.
“Let me be clear tonight: I’m not backing off because what I’m saying is true,” Huckabee continued.
