The conservative perspective of government-provided services is to eradicate the government’s role and privatize it. And they want to privatize everything. Conservative talking heads on Fox News have now begun calling for the privatization of Amtrak just days after a fatal crash in Philadelphia.
“There is no rationale why that service cannot be privatized,” said Charles Gasparino of Fox Business.
Anytime a government service is privatized, it’s never good. Quality of the service takes a nosedive and employees are paid less and given terrible benefits.
