An unidentified police officer from Rohnert Park, California was suspended for needlessly pulling a gun on an unarmed, non-threatening citizen. The officer pulled up and stopped in front of Don McComas’ home while McComas was recording the officer.
The officer ran the man’s plate, exited his patrol vehicle, and then unholstered his service pistol. The officer’s actions were noted in a statement from the Rohnert Park Police Department. “The video is not a typical interaction between our Public Safety Officers and the public,” it said.
Thankfully, no one got injured, but the video is telling that some police are psychos on a powertrip.
