Republican presidential candidate and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) has the worst plan to address racism ever: simply ignore it. But, what more would one expect from someone like Walker?
“One, I think in general if anyone focuses on racial discord we’re going to get more,” said Walker. “If we focus on unity we’re going to get more of that. The families of the massacre showed us the way.”
By insisting that addressing racial discord only creates more racial discord, Walker is saying that America should ignore it completely. Ignoring cancer doesn’t make it go away.
