Three Americans, two of which are veterans, managed to stop a would-be shooter while on a train in France. Air Force serviceman Spencer Stone, inactive National Guard member Alek Skarlatos, and their friend, Anthony Sadler, stopped and subdued a gunman armed with an assault rifle from killing several people.

“I saw a guy entering the train with an AK and a handgun, and I just looked over at Spencer and said, ‘Let’s go. Go,'” Skarlatos said. “And he jumped up, and I followed behind him by about three seconds.”

Here’s the account of the incident given by the three men.
