Clatskanie Police Chief Marvin Hoover of Oregon has resigned from his position after a fellow officer revealed racist comments made by Hoover, reported AddictingInfo. The comments came after officer Dustin Stone notified Hoover of a 56-year-old women threatening to sue the police department for discrimination.
According to Stone’s official report:
I relayed several of the arrestee’s remarks such as, “When you look at me, my black and my nappy hair, all you see is an animal.” Chief Hoover interrupted me and said, “That’s what she is.”
Chief Hoover then began to act like a monkey. Chief Hoover placed his hands in his armpits and began scratching them. Chief Hoover also started making loud monkey sounds.
Hoover wasn’t fired, but his resignation is just as welcomed.
