As Ring of Fire often writes, there are so many good police officers, but it’s only the out-of-control that get the media attention. In this video, Raleigh, North Carolina, Officer Dan Hicks saves a suicidal man from jumping off a bridge by calmly talking him down and then embracing him in a long hug, showing true compassion for the situation. The man was not arrested, but instead taken to mental health facility.
