While making an appearance on Hardball with host Chris Matthews, Bill Maher scolded the media group for covering Donald Trump. According to Maher, providing coverage to Trump is a big part of why the rest of the world is ashamed of the United States.
“Why cover it like he’s Churchill giving an important speech? Have you listened to these speeches?” Maher said. “Trump is always saying other countries are laughing at us. This is why they’re laughing at us, because of what he says and how we are taking it seriously.”
