A new Gallup poll found that a large majority of Americans see widespread corruption in the United States government.

Approximately 75 percent of Americans see widespread government corruption, an increase from the percentages in 2007 and 2009, which was 67 percent and 66 percent, respectively. The current poll is down four points from 2013, a 10-year high.

Up until 2010, the public’s dissatisfaction with the American government fluctuated. But that dissatisfaction has remained stable over the last five years. Many government controversies have contributed to the public’s disapproval of the government, including the DOJ’s termination of several U.S. attorneys and the IRS “scandal.”

This poll is telling. The American people are fed up with the current ridiculousness of the American government. Congress is ineffective. The Democrats are spineless corporate lapdogs, and the Republicans are insane obstructionists.
