Rush Limbaugh believes that the media is intentionally trying to make Carly Fiorina look better in order to push Donald Trump out of the race. After her performance in last week’s debate where she took a sharp jab at Trump over his comments about her appearance, the media has been praising Fiorina, with many outlets proclaiming her the winner of last week’s debate.

And Limbaugh sees all of this as a threat to Donald. But it really isn’t. No new information came to light about Trump during that debate, and I don’t think he’s going to suffer in the polls at all because of Fiorina’s jabs at him.

But Limbaugh can’t stand the thought of having a woman running for president, especially as a Republican, so he has to protect his fellow misogynist Donald Trump. Limbaugh is the one who started the Republican Party’s war on women, and Trump is the candidate that will take Limbaugh’s war and actually make it policy. That’s why he has to protect him.

I absolutely believe that Carly Fiorina’s gender has no bearing on whether or not she would be a competent leader, because it doesn’t. What should bother Republican voters – and all voters, for that matter – is the fact that she is rated as one of the worst CEOs in American history. She was paid $22 million to step down as CEO of Hewlett Packard after losing tens of thousands of jobs for the company. During the debate, she claimed that this was because the company had it out for her, but that’s a weak excuse, at best. She wanted to play the victim, and it may get her a few extra votes, but it’s a completely fabricated story.

Furthermore, she has a credibility problem. Remember those Planned Parenthood videos that she talked about with the fetus on the table kicking its legs while it’s organs are about to be harvested? Those don’t exist. They don’t exist anywhere. There is no footage to back any of this up.

So while people like Limbaugh are attacking Fiorina for being a woman, they’re missing the point that she’s a liar and a failure, and that’s the real story.
