Ted Cruz was right at home at the Value Voters Summit this Friday. He called Obama a communist, called for the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and took cheap shots at John Boehner.
“If you vote for Hillary you are voting for Iran to acquire nuclear weapons,” Cruz said. “If you vote for me, under no circumstances will Iran be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. And if the Ayatollah doesn’t understand that, we may have to help introduce him to his 72 virgins.”
He fired off the tired line that Obama is a communist.
“Media all across the world are reporting on this historic meeting of the world’s most powerful communist – and the president of China,” said Cruz.
Then he turned to John Boehner who recently announced he would resign at the end of October.
“The country will be better served with a strong conservative speaker,” Cruz said to reporters. “What I hope more than anything is that the next speaker demonstrates fidelity to the promises we make when we get elected.”
