Ben Carson has provided the perfect reason why fundamental Christianity should be outlawed in the U.S., or at least in U.S. politics. Of course, he didn’t intend too. Instead, he was trying to explain why he does not believe a Muslim can be president, and why Muslims should be denied basic freedoms that others have in this country; e.g., unlawful search and seizure.
On ABC “This Week”, Carson stated the following:
When you have something that is against the rights of women, against the rights of gays, subjugates other religions, and a host of things that are not compatible with our Constitution, why in fact would you take that chance?
Yes, Carson made the above quote. He was referring to Islam, in his opinion. Clearly, what he is referencing is fundamental Christianity in America.
Carson, you are absolutely right. This type of thinking has no place in U.S. politics, and should be outlawed. Anyone stating such beliefs should be prevented from running for president, as the opinions are directly contrary to the U.S. Constitution.
