Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump spoke at the No Labels Problem Solver Convention in New Hampshire when he committed another racist gaffe. Joseph Choe is an American of Korean descent and Harvard student, and he was selected to ask Trump a question.
“Basically, you said that South Korea takes advantage of the United States in terms of the defense spending on the Korean Peninsula. I just want to get the facts straight,” said Choe.
Trump interrupted and asked “Are you from South Korea?” He’s so awful.
“I’m not,” responded Choe. “I was born in Texas, raised in Colorado.”
In Trump’s mind, if someone looks Asian, they must be from Asian. To him, someone who isn’t white was probably not born in America.
