The Louisiana gubernatorial race is brutal and finally there’s a Democrat who refuses to play nice with David Vitter (R-LA). John Bel Edwards (D) is challenging David Vitter for the governorship and in a debate Tuesday night, Edwards tore into Vitter for his disgusting tactics.
“He’s actually sending private investigators to spy on the sheriff,” said Edwards. “There’s enough scandal and embarrassment here to last a lifetime. Louisiana doesn’t need any more of that.
Edwards was referring to a private investigator who was recently caught trying to record the sheriff of Jefferson Parish at a cafe during a breakfast meeting.
Crybaby Vitter tried to complain that it wasn’t fair of Edwards to complain about the investigator while at the same time he was running negative ads against Vitter.
“With respect to the negative ad, if it’s a low blow it’s only because that’s where you live, Senator,” he said. “It’s 100 percent truthful. The fact of the matter is you didn’t say it was untrue. You want me to take it down because you don’t like it. I understand that you don’t like it. It hits you where you live.”
Edwards then blasted Vitter when Vitter tried to attack him for not living by the Army Ranger’s honor code.
“I am not looking at any video footage from you. I haven’t hired a private investigator to go after you … you’re a liar and you’re a cheater and you’re a stealer and I don’t tolerate that,” said Edwards.
