There are certainly an abundance of conspiracy theories about President Barack Hussein Obama. Ranging from the idea that he is a secret Muslim to the idea that he wasn’t even born in the United States, those hungry for scandal about the current president will find any number of ways to create drama about the man. While speaking with GQ, Obama discussed which one of these conspiracy theories he enjoys the most.
“That military exercises we were doing in Texas were designed to begin martial law so that I could usurp the Constitution and stay in power longer,” Obama told interviewer Bill Simmons. “Anybody who thinks I could get away with telling Michelle I’m going to be president any longer than eight years does not know my wife.”
While Obama does not specifically name the operation or military exercises, he is clearly referring to the exercises known as “Jade Helm 15” which had conservatives up in arms asking for third parties and state powers to monitor the government’s activities in the state.
As with most theories about Obama though, the Jade Helm 15 scare came and went without any incident.
