For a Democrat, saying that a presidential candidate will be worse than president Obama isn’t too bad – to many, it would even be a compliment. But when Ted Cruz told his audience this fact about Donald Trump in Indiana, it was meant as the deepest of insults.

With the arrival of the Indiana primary, Ted Cruz has stepped up his attack on Trump in the days leading to the key last-chance vote. Polls skew toward the real estate mogul, but Cruz is pulling out all the stops to try to reverse that trend.

During the same event, Cruz also fear-mongered to the God-fearing audience, saying that Trump views piety and prayer as weakness, rather than an essential part of life.

Cruz also worked on convincing the audience, and others elsewhere in the state that Trump is merely using them and will betray them in every way.
