It’s clear that after a few days of indecision, much of the Republican party has begun to fall into the party lines supporting Donald Trump and vilifying those who do not do so. One fairweather friend is failed presidential candidate Newt Gingrich who attacked the Bush family and Governor Mitt Romney for their refusal to back Trump.
The Bush’s have remained fairly silent in this election cycle, but recently announced that they would not be attending the Republican convention in July. Of course we are all familiar with Mitt Romney’s vehement opposition to Trump as he has made his disdain public.
Gingrich ignored the glaring issues with Trump’s platform and instead focused on the elementary school line of reasoning of “but THEY did it!”
Watch.
Gingrich: “When [HW, W & Romney] were the nominees they expected all of us to support them.” https://t.co/0dzSQiMZjfhttps://t.co/7cYf30HPLf
