This week was the much-celebrated 1 year anniversary of when Donald Trump descended from his hotel escalator and made his announcement that he would be throwing his toupee in the ring for the presidency.
Do you remember where you were? Do you remember how you laughed the first time you heard that Trump, “seriously the guy with the reality show” Trump, was going to try to be president.
We wish we could go back in time and warn those naive versions of ourselves that Trump was to be much more than a quick political joke – he has morphed into a dangerous demagogue whose followers have found a messiah in a man who is neither nothing like themselves, nor does he care one bit for them.
So to balm your wounds on this remembrance week, watch Real Time with Bill Maher as he once again tears Trump (metaphorically) limb from limb.
