On Sunday morning, details began to roll in concerning yet another killing of police officers, this time in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Mayor of Baton Rouge Kip Holden told media outlets that two officers have been killed, and seven others are injured in what is being described as an “ambush attack.”
Police were called to a scene not far from PD headquarters on report of a suspicious person carrying an assault weapon. When police arrived on the scene, the man opened fire.
So far, media reports that there was one shooter who used an assault rifle to attack officers.
Reports also indicate that the shooter was killed by police, though his/her identity has not yet been released.
