For the past decade, the US military has been expanding into Africa through special operations missions and training. It’s all been shrouded in secrecy. No one knows how many forces we have in Africa or how many missions are taking place there. And because there is a near-complete media blackout, the US African Command (AFRICOM) is getting away with disastrous policies, which are very similar to the beginnings of military expansion into the Middle East.
