According to Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff, the White House has “looked at” using a constitutional amendment to try and restrict the freedom of the press in his continued attack on “fake news,” and the media.

Speaking on ABC News, Reince Priebus reflected on the Trump administration’s first 100 days when he made a chilling comment on the President’s interest in suppressing the media.

Priebus was asked whether or not the President intended to pursue past comments from March in which the POTUS said that he would “change libel laws,” to make it harder for the media to report news (unfairly, as he put it).

When Priebus indicated that the President was indeed interested in doing so, ABC’s John Karl noted that doing so would most likely require changing the very U.S. constitution via amendment.

Was the President really seeking to change the constitution’s view on free speech?

“I think it’s something that we’ve looked at, and how that gets executed or whether that goes anywhere is a different story.”

This is chilling.

Watch.
