Thanks to the latest foolhardy attempt to repeal Obamacare, the healthcare of 9 million kids is in limbo. That’s because lawmakers were too wrapped up in the latest repeal effort to reauthorize the Children’s Health Insurance Program to families ineligible for Medicaid and too poor for private insurance. However, both sides already agreed before the Graham-Cassidy debacle that CHIP would have less money than before. Natalie McGill joins Lee at the desk to lament that lawmakers have to reach an agreement every few years that poor kids need health care when it should be a right.
