Legal scholar Alan Dershowitz joins “News with Ed” to discuss the case against George Papadopoulos. While Papadopoulos pleaded guilty, juries are “very suspicious of cooperating witnesses,” especially given the accused has admitted to lying in the past. The onus is therefore on Papanopoulos to provide more evidence that’s credible on its own and not simply the weight of his word. This is likely a factor in the guilty plea remaining sealed, but Dershowitz reminds us that sometimes “witnesses not only sing — they compose.”
