The Tea Party helped put several new Republicans in seats of power in the US Congress last year, falsely believing that people like Rand Paul would not follow the status quo, and would not be influenced by lobbyists. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Tea Party was dead wrong, and their darling representatives have been busy hiring lobbyists to actually run their congressional offices. In addition to these lobbyists, we have people like David Koch pulling the strings on these new congressmen from behind the scenes.
