Remember Victoria Jackson? No, probably not. She was a rather nondescript member of the cast of Saturday Night Live. After leaving the program, she became another voice inside of the Tea Party. She recently made a bid for a seat on the Williamson County Commission and she lost. Now, she is vowing to continue her efforts to represent “true conservatism” by badgering the people who will listen to her with conspiracy theories.
Jackson lost to Judy Lynch Herbert and Betsy Hester. Despite losing to both candidates by a 2:1 margin, Jackson claimed that the race was still a win for “conservative values”.
She isn’t done, though. The Tea-Party-yokel will continue to speak out about “Agenda 21 and Common Core and its ramifications on local government. The big picture.”
She also had some parting criticisms of her political rivals:
“I think they’ve been living in the Williamson County bubble and are not aware that the Obama Administration and the fast-moving lunge toward socialism in our country has begun to erase our freedoms, even here. As their annoying constituent, I will try to share my knowledge and research with them, so they can make wise choices.”
File this one under better left where you found her.
“My first reaction [to finding out she had lost the race]. Hmmm. Well, I don’t really like numbers, and Commissioners mostly talk about numbers, the budget.”
You really dodged a bullet, Williamson. A conservative, blathering, number-hating bullet.
