Eric Garner was killed at the hands of the NYPD this year after being put into a deadly chokehold, a maneuver specifically banned by the NYPD itself. Today, the Grand Jury announced that there would be no indictment for the officer responsible for choking Garner. Protests and marches have taken to the streets of New York City, and angry protesters are making their voices heard. In the clip below, you can hear audio of Eric Garner’s father, Ben Garner, trying to calm an angry protester and urging him to “keep the peace.”
