A tree planted in Ferguson, Missouri in memory of Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager fatally shot by a city police officer last year, survived less than 24 hours, KMOV reported.
The tree, which was dedicated by the Black Caucus of the American Library Association, was planted on Saturday. By Sunday morning, the tree had been chopped in half and a memorial stone had been stolen.
