Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) officially announced that he would be seeking the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination. Sanders, who works with the Democratic caucus in Congress, is a self-described Democratic Socialist. Of course, the only part of that description the mainstream media has picked up on is Socialist.
