Over the weekend, Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee told Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer that his hocking of bogus diabetes and cancer treatments means he’s “going to be a heck of a good president.”

When Huckabee’s involvement with the infomercials selling the treatments came up, the former Arkansas governor told Schieffer that he doesn’t “have to defend everything that [he’s] ever done.”

“I’m not doing those infomercials obviously now as a candidate for president,” Huckabee said. “But if that’s the worse thing somebody can say to me, that I advocated for people that have diabetes, to do something to reverse and stop the incredible pain of that, then I’m going to be a heck of a good president.”

On a recent episode of his show, David Pakman discussed Huckabee’s ridiculous explanation for his ties to the remedies. Watch.
