Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) is a political dumpster fire. During a Fox News interview with Sean Hannity, Walker said that minimum wage is a “lame idea” cooked up by the Democrats, reported Addicting Info.
“The left claims that they’re for American workers and they’ve just got really lame ideas – things like the minimum wage,” said Walker. “Instead of focusing on that, we need to talk about how we get people the skills and the education and the qualifications that they need to take on the careers that pay far more than minimum wage.”
By saying minimum wage is a “lame idea,” Walker insists that he’d rather protect the companies and harm workers by cheating them out of guaranteed pay. The minimum wage was instituted to ensure companies weren’t relying on the work of unpaid employees. That’s what people in the civilized world call “slave labor.” Minimum wage was also designed to not only make sure workers were getting paid, but that the pay was sufficient for living.
Walker is the enemy of working Americans. He’s gone on a spree of busting unions, cutting education funds, and protecting businesses at the expense of workers. While the People are largely in support of raising the minimum wage, Walker wants to regress back to the days of legal slave labor.
