Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) appeared on a conservative, fundamentalist radio show, Religious Right, and stated that the Iran nuclear deal will bring about the End Times and the Second Coming of Christ. We’re relieved that she’s no longer in Congress. Good riddance forever.
Bachmann told host Jan Markell that the Iran agreement was “the most important national security event of my lifetime” because it fulfills the “prophecy” of Zechariah 12:3. That particular verse reads: “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves.”
“There are consequences to doing things like this against God’s covenant land, there are horrible consequences,” responded Markell. “Then you throw in some other things such as the Supreme Court decision back in late June and a lot of other things. Judgment isn’t coming; judgment is already here.”
