At one time, Donald Trump was deeply entrenched with a company called ACN. The company has basically been summed up as a ponzi scheme and it made its money from charging fees from those who believed its lies. Not to be taken by Trump’s spin, what Trump saw was an opportunity to extract large sums of cash from people wanting to find a way to work to a better life.

Trump spoke at the organization’s conventions and appeared in their promotional materials.

As Salon describes it:

“The Trump name and success have really become one and the same,” he [Trump] said, looking straight from the screen, shaking his famous finger. “Two things I’ve mastered over the years is understanding the importance of timing in business and the ability to recognize great opportunities. So, I’m here to tell you about a company that provides these two essential components for success.”

The company was ACN, an investment opportunity that, in his words, is “probably even better than real estate.” He added with a shrug: “I like real estate, but this is probably better.”

After Donald Trump made his financial disclosures to run for president, the Wall Street Journal dug into Trump’s history with the company. In response, Trump attempted to have every trace of his association with the company erased.

“I know nothing about the company,” Trump said to the WSJ. “I’m not familiar with what they do or how they go about doing it, and I make that clear in my speeches.”

What’s clear is that Donald Trump is a crook who would rather have you watching him race-bait American conservatives than looking into his past. If you did, you’d find that he is little more than an an exploitation machine, jumping from one opportunity to the next.
