A UPS postal delivery driver had a bit of a meltdown recently in Hawaii while dealing with a giant pile of packages, which has got us thinking about the massive strain placed on postal companies in these last days before Christmas.

If you are like many people, a great deal of your Christmas shopping this holiday season has taken place online. In fact, this year was the first time online sales have trumped physical sales on Black Friday, marking a shift in the way consumers get their endless gadgets and gizmos.

Even now as Amazon Prime members enjoy their last day of free two-day shipping, scores of people are placing the burden of their procrastination on delivery services and the men and women who work for these overburdened companies. While most of us are experiencing a slowing in workloads so close to the holiday, people who work in retail and in delivery are under as much strain as ever.

When we choose to order something online, we are choosing to put an extra burden on postal workers and delivery drivers. For better or for worse, convenience has a price.

This delivery driver has clearly had it.
