Planned Parenthood has begun fighting back against the corrupt organization which tried to falsely accuse the health organization of selling fetal tissues for profit. On Thursday, Planned Parenthood filed a lawsuit in San Francisco against anti-abortion group Center for Medical Progress and the fake fetal tissue procurement company “BioMax.”
The group is the one responsible for the release of the falsified videos which alleged that Planned Parenthood was harvesting and selling fetal tissue for a profit. The video cut together clips of live and stillborn infants, alleging that they were aborted fetuses among other blatant lies. The videos gained national focus during the early GOP debate when Republican candidate Carly Fiorina called for the de-funding of Planned Parenthood, citing the videos.
“As regards [to] Planned Parenthood, anyone who has watched this videotape, I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”
The lawsuit officially accuses the named conspirators of “violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and committing fraud, invasion of privacy, illegal secret recording and trespassing.” The creators used fake id’s and secretly recorded conversations inside the private property.
Planned Parenthood said that the videos “created a poisonous environment”which has threatened the security of its employees and providers.
Beth Parker, chief legal counsel for Planned Parenthood’s California affiliates told this to reporters:
“Planned Parenthood staff has been demonized, the providers have been threatened with death, picketed at their homes, bombarded with hate mail, and forced to move or go into hiding.”
The Center for Medical Progress, continuing to blatantly lie to the public released a stament without one shred of truth:
“Planned Parenthood is under investigation by the United States Congress and multiple law enforcement agencies, while their business is drying up and the public is turning against their barbaric abortion for baby parts trade. Now they are filing a frivolous lawsuit in retaliation for CMP’s First Amendment investigative journalism that has done nothing more than tell the truth about Planned Parenthood’s lawless operations.”
Here’s to hoping that this lawsuit bankrupts this terrible organization and helps to restore the positive image of one of the country’s most vital health programs.
