At a rally in Iowa, Senator Bernie Sanders decoded what Republican candidates mean when they refer to “family values,” saying that he disagrees with a political ownership of women’s bodies.
“They love families. Can’t stop talking about families. When Republicans talk about family values what they are saying is that no woman in this room…in this country, should have the right to control their own body. I DISAGREE.”
Sanders goes on to explain that he supports Planned Parenthood and a woman’s right to make her own choices about her body. On issues like these, Bernie’s record truly shines.
