Presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson has been a mess from the start of this race. From leading in the polls, to barely hanging on, Carson seems to have absolutely no idea how to run a political campaign. It’s why some people love him.

2016 so far has not been good to Carson, and with many others dropping out of the race this past week, people are looking to Carson to be the next one to say bye-bye.

During Monday’s Iowa Caucus, Cruz staffers purposely mislead voters after Carson announced he would be going home to get clothes in the middle of the voting event. Carson maintained that he wouldn’t be quitting and the campaign engaged in a bit of righteous indignation over the hullabaloo.

Then on Thursday, Carson admitted that he would be letting 50 staffers go, no doubt a symptom of his floundering campaign. It doesn’t exactly sound like the attributes of a successful campaign, and his actions coupled with dismal polling results mean that leaving now might be best for the retired neurosurgeon.

So, we aren’t saying he’s quitting, but the writing is on the wall.
