It’s been six years since Obamacare (or the Affordable Care Act as it’s really called) became a real thing. In that moment, Republicans found their newest eternal talking point to rally the base and rankle the Republican bulldogs.
“Repeal Obamacare” is now as important to conservatives as “God Bless America” or “Ronald Reagan.”
And yet, if they actually were to succeed in making the ACA disappear, what would they whine about instead? Going back to the old “marriage is a sacred unity between a man and a woman”? Such tired, old material.
No, Republicans will keep Obamacare around forever because they know it’s the only buzzword its angry base wants to hear about. Watch.
