Though some have criticized Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren for her refusal to endorse a Democratic candidate, the progressive senator has been making waves by going hard against Donald Trump while so many others sit back and underestimate the man.
Warren’s feud with Trump seems to only escalate as the two battle back and forth via statements made on network television, Twitter, and Facebook.
Warren has called Trump a zealot, a racist, a xenophobe, words that neither Democratic candidate has dared to call Trump. In return, Trump has attempted to smear Warren by calling her “Pocahontas” and accusing her of faking her tribal roots.
This week, Warren continued her harsh take-down of Trump, calling the man a “small, insecure money-grubber” who only wants to profit.
“Donald Trump was drooling over the idea of a housing meltdown because it meant he could buy up more property on the cheap. What kind of a man does that? What kind of a man roots for people to get thrown out of their house? What kind of man roots for people to get thrown out of their jobs?”
“I’ll tell you exactly what kind of a man does that,” she continued. “It is man who cares about no one but himself. A small, insecure money-grubber who doesn’t care who gets hurt, so long as he makes a profit off it. What kind of man does that? A man who will never be president of the United States.”
We praise Warren for doing what the Democratic front-runner refuses to do. Warren’s belittling of Trump, and her continued commitment to pointing out the man’s elitist, moneybags attitude may be the only thing that keeps him from the White House.
