Glenn Beck has been suspended for one week from his Sirius XM radio show for not correcting or silencing his guest Brad Thor who suggested that Donald Trump be dealt with via assassination.

Thor, a popular fiction writer, made the suggestion during an interview this past week when he said that a “patriot” would need to “step up” and keep Trump in line.

“With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as President? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if he oversteps his mandate as President, his constitutional-granted authority, I should say, as President.”

Because Donald Trump is currently under protection from the Secret Service, it is a federal crime to threaten his life, and the fact that Beck allowed the comment to slide was a gross breach of proper behavior.

Beck is lucky that he will retain his show at all, but no doubt the small handful of rabid right-wingers who watch his show will dearly miss him in the absence.

You can hear the comment around the 4-minute mark.
