Saturday’s news cycle brought us the tragic news that once again, the world has lost a genius mind in Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel.
Wiesel used his tortured time in concentration camps in World War II to write moving works of art in the form of novels he shared with the world to remind them about the resiliency of the human spirit, but also the depravity of evil.
Wiesel and his powerful advocacy will be sorely missed, especially amid his most memorable reminder to not forget the victims.
“To forget the dead would be killing them a second time.”
