Former Trump campaign manager and current CNN correspondent Corey Lewandowski has continued to make a general ass of himself during the 2016 election, first as Trump’s right hand, reporter-assaulting man, and now as a unrepentant Trump defender on CNN each night.
During a panel discussion on Don Lemon’s show on Tuesday, Lewandowski showed the true depth of his devotion for Trump by suggesting that Obama, despite all evidence to the contrary, may not be an American citizen.
Lewandowski inched his way to the birther claim that his former boss made famous by first insinuating that the POTUS was allowed into Harvard due to his minority status. Lewandowski was attempting to deflect attention from the legitimate question about why Trump had not yet released his tax returns, and he was apparently successful.
“And I just simply said … have those ever been released, and the question was did he get in as a U.S. citizen or was he brought into Harvard University as a citizen who wasn’t from this country?”
The other panelists were understandably floored by Lewandowski’s revival of the 8-year-old rumor that Obama was not an American native.
Watch.
